Connected: Media Psychology helps people understand
how the media and the growing use of information and entertainment technologies
impact how we perceive, take meaning from and respond to a media rich world.
We focus on identifying potential benefits and help to
resolve negative consequences of the media environment and use of various forms of technology.
We promote the development of positive media and healthy
media and technology use.
We research the psychological impact on people caused by a
wide range of media such as social media, smart phone and internet use, online
education, virtual classrooms, entertainment and games and gaming.
Media Psychology offers counselling, coaching, assessment and consultation for adults
and adolescents, and supervision for psychologists-in-training.
Principal Psychologist, Danya Braunstein, provides initial assessment
and treatment plans for all clients. She provides generalist psychology services, and works primarily in assisting people who
work within the media and entertainment industries, and also those who
